One Star, Three Kings: the Journey of Epiphany

Join Balthasar, Casper, and Melchior as they follow the star to Bethlehem, bringing their treasures to the newborn King. One Star, Three Kings is a gorgeously illustrated children’s book that blends a captivating retelling of the Magi’s journey with Scripture, history, and legend.

Through rich storytelling and vibrant artwork, this book brings to life the deeper traditions surrounding the Wise Men, their prophetic mission, and their role in the Feast of Epiphany. Follow the kings from their possible childhood homes to “the East” where they joined together to study the stars. See how their legendary origins may echo back even to the time of Daniel and how they bring back together the peoples scattered at the Tower of Babel.

Children and parents alike will be drawn into the mystery, wonder, and joy of the Magi’s adventure as they seek—and find—the Light of the World.

One Star, Three Kings provides a much-needed glimpse into a story often overlooked: the journey of the wise men! Through beautiful visuals and thought-provoking details, we are given the opportunity to ponder each king’s experience while sharing in their hope, anticipation, and excitement. One Star, Three Kings is the perfect addition to every family’s celebration of Epiphany!

Rebecca Grabill

Rebecca has been writing since childhood, her first book about a kitten published between homemade cardboard covers in second grade. Although she studied religion and philosophy in university, she continued writing, earning an MFA from Hamline University and publishing multiple picture books (no longer with homemade covers) and a collection of poetry with a variety of New York and independent publishers. She has also published a wide array of fiction, essays, and poetry in magazines and journals and photographs for Getty Images. She balances writing with homeschooling the younger of her six children, launching her young adults, church activities, and overseeing a small flock of chickens in rural West Michigan.
