I can't say or I'll jinx it! But oh, what a happy day it is! Good Friday indeed!
By the way, the picture illustrates why my kids so love Hobby Lobby (and why, if HL had Personae Non Gratae pictured on the wall, I'd be one of them).
I can't believe how long it's taken me to post these photos. Actually, yes I can. I'm horribly lazy when it comes to keeping up with my online presence. What's worse is I actually like to blog and Facebook and whatnot, but these children! The chickens! The garden! My editor and agent who actually - gasp - expect me to write now and then!
I know, excuses excuses.
I am so full of exclamation points! See, just this morning I was showing Maggie the cover art pdf. She, always attentive, noticed the little square on the back cover where the bar code will go. "What's that?"
I have a book cover, people! For my first-ever-to-be-published picture book, Halloween Good Night! Illustrated by the incredible Ella Okstad! Due out from Atheneum Books for Young Readers (a division of S&S) July, 2017! And the cover? IS FREAKING ADORABLE!!!!
Guess who got to geek out on Scrivener? I don't know what it says about my week that leading a workshop in the basement of my local library was the highlight. But it so was. It helps that I love love love Scrivener.
That would be ME! Wow, I’m still in shock. Or still delirious from this flu Kilian was kind enough to share with me.
Picture it, I’m out of bed finally, after my third three-hour-long nap of the day. Sitting in a purple club chair while Penny steps onto her potty and Leaps off. “Look at me, Mama! Mama watch!” Kilian is hanging out with me. In fact, this shot was taken moments before...
I ambled over to my agent's website today (ok, hubby sent me a link) and discovered...
She'd shared the cover to Halloween Goodnight!
When the tax documents come from...
Remember that tantalizing bit of good news? It's now official!
Long gone are the days of paper submissions and eager trips to the mailbox. It's electronic everything: Google docs, Dropbox
I can't say or I'll jinx it! But oh, what a happy day it is!
